Costa Rica Brunca
Grown at altitudes of 1500–1900 m in the Brunca region of southern Costa Rica, this coffee comes from Marespi, a family farm with a four-generation tradition in specialty coffee production. Through sustainable practices and respect for nature, Marespi produces coffees with full traceability and an authentic sense of origin.
This lot, processed using the Washed method and made from Catuai and Caturra varieties, highlights the elegance and clarity typical of Costa Rican coffees.
In the cup, you'll discover an intense mandarin aroma, complemented by vibrant citrus notes and delicate chocolate accents. The result is a balanced coffee with a pleasant sweetness, bright acidity, and a clean, memorable aftertaste.

How to brew the perfect coffee
How to brew your perfect coffee
Espresso - 18 g coffee → 36 g in cup, ~28 seconds. Maximizes caramel sweetness and round body.
Filter / V60 - 15 g coffee to 250 ml water, ~93°C. The best method to taste berries and subtle acidity.
French press - 30 g coffee to 500 ml water, 4 minutes infusion. Fuller texture, ideal in the morning.
Regardless of the method, grind the coffee just before brewing and use filtered water — they make the biggest difference in the cup.
How fresh is the coffee?
We roast in small batches and ship shortly after roasting, so you can enjoy each origin at its peak.
How long does it keep?
The best taste is within 4–6 weeks of roasting. Store it in a cool, dry place, in its original sealed packaging.
Beans or ground?
If you want it ground, tell us what method you're using it for (espresso, filter, French press) and we'll prepare it accordingly.
How is it different from other origins?
Popayán has a rounded body and notes of berries with caramel. Each origin in our selection has its own profile - you can find the notes for each one in the Specifications.
